"Hot" x60s

#1 Post by kthch » Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:14 pm

The original question was about the temperature of the x60s.
After 5 minutes of power on the temperature is going up to
172F (78C).
Is there anybody with a x60s, running Vista on a Seagate 100GB/7200 Harddisk?

That is most definitely NOT normal - something is wrong!

I believe the default BIOS setting tries to keep the CPU temperature at ~43 celcius. I believe that your notebook is in danger of permanent damage at 78 celcius!
