Formated drive: How to restore function button functions?

#1 Post by Zuerst » Tue Aug 14, 2007 1:08 pm

I have a X61s. I formated the hard drive using the command prompt option while installing Vista Ultimate. The drive only has 70gig out of 80gig avaliable after formatting so I assume the Lenovo softwares are still on the 10gig space difference.

Now with Vista Ultimate installed, the function + brighter/darker display, mouse, sleep, lock, up/down volume, mute...etc doesn't work anymore. The function + led light and NmLk still works though.

How do I restore the fuctions to the function buttons/combos?

Thanks,

Make sure you have all the necessary drivers and utilities installed. The X61 and X61s device driver matrix should be a good place to locate any driver you may have overlooked after formatting.

Lenovo also has an update tool that automatically detects and downloads drivers and utilities for your system.

You need the Lenovo Interface driver and the Hotkey driver. You should also be running the Lenovo ACPI Power Management driver.
