x61s - wireless N card turns off

#1 Post by jgsx » Sat Aug 18, 2007 12:12 pm

I'm having trouble with my x61s. The 802.11n card sometimes turns off on its own after a while. I can't find a setting anywhere to disable this. Suggestions?

Have you checked the power settings for the wireless card? If you go into Power Options in the Control Panel and then hit Advanced Settings, you should be able to adjust if/when it turns off.

As an aside - I thought Wireless-N was disabled in X61s?

I don't think it should be. X61s can have the3 antennas needed for MIMO installed and also has the option of an 802.11N WiFi card.
