New screeching X61s

Hello all.
After much waiting I've finally received my X61s. When I first booted the machine up it seemed wonderful, but within minutes I noticed a slight electrical screeching noise coming from the right half of the machine. This noise happens very frequently.
I'm not sure what is causing this problem. Am I the only person who has noticed this?

If your drive is Seagate Momentus then that's definitely causing it.

I got the "stock" 5400RPM 80gb drive (They no longer had the 60gb option when I bought it). I also have Intel AGN WiFi and Intel Turbo Memory.
How can I check if I got a Seagate Momentus?
Edit: Nope, Ive got a Hitachi.
The noise is absent after I boot but after a few minutes in Vista it kicks in. The noise does seem to be mildly linked to Disk activity, but I can't be 100% sure.

Actually.. It doesnt seem intermittent. Once it starts, it's on.
I've removed the Turbo Memory, the WiFi card, and the modem daughter board. The sound is still there (meaning its not one of the cards).
This is incredibly irritating. What is it?? Am I the only one?

Hey...try unplugging the ac adapter and run it purely on battery. Did the sound go away? I had a screeching issue and I isolated it to a bad ac adapter. Lenovo replaced it with a revision E one. No more screech on my machine.

Ive tried it without the adapter. The adapter brick itself is not screeching. If I put my ear to the machine I can clearly determine that the machine itself is the source.
Perhaps it is a bad scalar board? Ugh. I guess I have to wait 4-6 more weeks for a replacement machine.
This is my 3rd dealing with Lenovo since they've taken over the ThinkPad line, and this is the 3rd problem I've had with them. They're 0 and 3. I'd say that makes them out (in baseball terms).
