Screen flickering

I have an x60s and now I'm experience a flickering screen. It only does this on two occasions:
1) When I go from AC to Battery.
2) After watching a DIVX movie on WMP and closing it.
I can remedy the situation by either plugging it back in, or by just right clicking and going to properties and just tabbing the resolution back and forth.
Any ideas for how to stop this madness?

I have the exact, same flicker problem: going from AC to battery, though it does not occur everytime I switch from AC to battery. I also use DivX but have not noticed any link between the flickering and DivX. The flicker is so bad I usually have to force a log off or hard reboot to get rid of it, cz I can't read the screen to do anything else.
The problem started relatively recently, past 2 or 3 months, and I thought it started after downloading the last update for the Intel graphics chip (945 GM). I currently use version 6.14.10.4785. For now I'm mostly on AC and it is not a big issue - just a major annoyance when it happens. I don't know how to downgrade to the prior version so will probably wait until the next version.
I just did a search and found this thread, which I have not yet fully read, but seems on the same topic:

I had the same problem, too.
But after several updates now the problem is gone.
My advice: use ThinkVantage System Update to get the lastet drivers and software versions.
