X60T back with XP Tablet...NO MORE VISTA...

I did a FULL NON-OEM install of Vista Ultimate on my Tablet. I had been running the OS for sometime...due to "wierd" occurences I have decided to go back to XP PRO (tablet).
Mainly I was having weird issues with the "Brightness" control, it would never stay put. Furthermore after upgrading the lappy to a 7200RPM DRIVE the thing gets hotter than hell...I think it is all the indexing that overworks the HD!!
The "ThinkVantage Connections Manager" which I really like...I could not get it to work under Vista. Yes "Connection Manager" would inform me on the connections that were active; but they were being managed by Vista and NOT the "CM" application. When I would give control to the CM and remove Vista as the "operator" NOTHING WOULD WORK even if the profiles are present in CM!! I gave up on this as well...
SO out with the eye candy...now I have to figure out what I am going to install Vista on...since nothing I have at home or work is running the OS and I want to get "used to it" since I know that in the near future I will have to support the thing...
