X61s (Vista): No Brightness OSD?
Why does my X60s (XP) have a brightness OSD but my X61s (Vista) does not? I doubt the OS has anything to do with it.
Does anyone have an x61s with a working OSD for brightness?

Make sure the hotkey drivers are installed and TPOSDSVC.exe is unabled in the startup.Jackboot wrote:Why does my X60s (XP) have a brightness OSD but my X61s (Vista) does not? I doubt the OS has anything to do with it........snip

Thanks for the advice.ryengineer wrote:Make sure the hotkey drivers are installed and TPOSDSVC.exe is unabled in the startup.Jackboot wrote:Why does my X60s (XP) have a brightness OSD but my X61s (Vista) does not? I doubt the OS has anything to do with it........snip
I definitely have the hotkey drivers installed. However I still do not have a brightness OSD, although I have the volume OSD, thinklight OSD, and Caps Lock OSD.
Under 'administrative tools -> Services' I do not see a service called "TPOSDSVD.EXE" listed.
Any ideas?
Can anyone with an X61s confirm that they have a brightness OSD?

Jackboot, I can confirm with Vista/64 on my X61s, running with the OSD software installed etc... I do *not* have OSD for brightness.Jackboot wrote:Can anyone with an X61s confirm that they have a brightness OSD?

Do you think it is a problem on Lenovo's end?
