X61T with SXGA+ LCD have been released in JAPAN.

May This mean that all the issues about LCD comming off from the bezel are fixed????

I'm wondering.....

Those Japanese are just simply amazing people. They make anything simple look amazing. One visit to Japan to their electronics market and you will know what I am talking about :D

I've got an x61t with sxga+. I ordered it from lenovo usa on Aug 5, and I received it in the USA on Aug 14. I don't know what the unglued bezels thing is all about, but everything seems fine.

Maybe I was an experimental customer? The sxga seemed available for only a few days.

In fact, the weekend I ordered, I actually bought three laptops. An HP at the local bigbox store, and a Dell 1330. Then I saw one of the 15% off coupon deals for lenovo and wandered over there to find that the sxga was available. I jumped on it and bought the lappie I'm using now.

I returned or cancelled everything but the x61t and have no regrets other than not getting xp-tablet instead of vista.

I know it isn't the same but the x60t is available with an sxga+ screen as of this minute on the lenovo site (Sun Sept 16, 2007 7:13pm cdt). Maybe the x61t will see an sxga+ comeback soon.

It would guess its another short production run to field test in the wild. The US needs a larger production run in order to not tick off distributors.
