X6x durability and battery life?

#1 Post by kryft » Thu Sep 13, 2007 1:24 am

Hi,

I recently bought a 14" T60. I've been quite happy with it, but at 2.5 kg with the 9 cell battery it's a tad on the heavy side, so I'm considering selling it and getting an X6x instead. I have some concerns, however:

What configuration would have the best battery life, and what would the battery life be (with the 8 cell battery)?

How rugged are these puppies compared with a T60?

think there's a thread for that already....

Tada: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=48357

Check that out and you'll see varied results of what people are getting. There's an even bigger thread somewhere but i didn't go that far back.

I have yet to try an X6X, but my X41 has withstood some pretty gruelling treatment over the last couple of years and still works and looks fine. Far better than the equivalent Dell subnote I used a few years ago; that didn't last long at all.
