floating box when typing

I'm trying to figure out why all of the sudden when I am NOT in tablet mode, the box that is prompting me to use my pen is suddenly floating on my screen whenever I'm in an area where I can type text? It's never done that before and I cannot make it stop. Any suggestions? Thanks
