X60 Network Connection problem

I have connected a vista X60 tablet to my home network (a couple XP computers). Everything works fine except every time I reboot it doesn't reconnect -- all it see is "unidentified network, local access."

To reconnect I have to take the following steps:

1) open Network and Sharing center
2) click "Manage Network Connection"
3) click on "LAN or High Speed Internet(2)"
4) click "diagnose this connection"
5) click on "reset network adaptor"

Then it works....until I reboot or it goes into sleep mode.

What can I do? Thanks.

Please look into instructions from GomJabbar in this thread or search for similar issue(s) in the forum.

I will look into what he says but that forum was for wi-fi problems; my network is hard wired.

The insructions (most) apply to internet in general, no matter how you're connected.
