8-cell Battery: which is the best route

Should I buy the 8-cell battery from:
Lenovo.ca through VisaPerks.ca promotion
8-cell battery 4.4Ah + 1GB USB stick
$100 after shipping and tax. 1 year warranty.
eBay - Lenovo OEM 4.4Ah
Link 1
$80 + shipping, but only 60 day warranty
eBay - Non-OEM Generic 5.2Ah
$60 shipped and 1 year warranty, but the seller is on eBay so why would he help me 1 year after the transaction ended?

I like OEM batteries, because they are usually better quality and have warranty, but I hate the price. They do usually last longer (like 2 years+). My X31 had a battery that was 4 years old, but it only underwent 80 charge cycles. Still, it was like new with 3-4h capacity.
I hate non-OEM batteries, because they literally go to hell after one year. They've got better battery life for a year, but after that year they're at 0%. Also, DOES USING non-OEM BATTERIES VOID THE WARRANTY?
So what do you guys think I should do? Any experiences with non-OEM batteries? Any potential dangers in one option?

IMO batteries are one thing I wouldn't fool around with. Not worth the high likelihood of having it crap out after 6 months or even less - then the savings from buying non-OEM actually end up being more expensive and more hassle than going OEM in the first place. Who is evaluating the seller's claim that the battery is in fact 5.2Ah? Probably an exaggeration.
The eBay seller with the OEM 8-cell for $80 plus shipping will cost more than buying through visaperks after you factor in shipping and (since the seller appears to be using UPS) brokerage fee. Count on $20 shipping and $20 brokerage plus $5 GST for a total of $125 - and you don't get a USB key like you do with the visaperks deal. If that's not enough consider that you don't get OEM warranty. Forget about it. Buy through visaperks direct from Lenovo.

Buy directly from lenovo, you won't regret it.
Keep in mind you'll have to send back the battery to China/US on your own in case of battery defect during the warranty period.

NEW QUESTION!
What's the deal with "Slim Line" X61s batteries? I just called Lenovo to order my battery, but they said that it wouldn't fit in the X61s. So where can I buy an X61s 8 cell battery (except from Lenovo.com) that would be around $100?

The 'slim line' batteries are 4-cell. I bought one direct from Lenovo for my X61s.

This was already mentioned previously by me, I'm copying it again:
8 cell high capacity battery (cylindric) [fits all X6x/s non tablet machines]
Enhanced battery is only available in 4 cell. (cylindric) [fits all X6x/s non tablet machines]
Slim Line Battery is only available in 4 cell (prismatic) and fits only X60s/X61s. It does not fit X60/X61 due to the bigger mass of fan construction on those machines.
4 cell Extended Life Battery goes into the X6 Ultrabase and the Ultrabase is same for all X6x/s non tablet machines.
8 cell tablet battery does not fit non tablet X6x/s machines.
so no?

So no I guess.
The only point here that details the tablet is the last one about the 8 cell, other than the "non tablet models" notes about I assume, do not fit. Not really sure which 4-cell battery is for the X61t, other than the 4-cell cylindric won't fit.
The problem with battery searches, is that 4 cell, is not a valid search string since 4, or anything less than three letters is not valid
thanks for the info.

X60 T / X61 T batteries are swappable.
I do not believe X60/X61 4 cell battery is comapatible with X60 T / X61 T or vice versa. The architecture of both machines is very different.
