iTunes and missing CD drive

Anyone use iTunes? I tried to burn a disc with the music I have purchased, which is an option in iTunes.

Connected the base, hardware worked fine, but when I attempted to burn the disk through the option on the iTunes softare it said it couldn't find a CD burner. Strange. I burns fine and iTunes even saw the blank CD I entered because it asked if I wanted to burn a disk.

Anyone got any suggestions what it could be?

what OS are you using?   i ran into a similar problem under vista x64.   try downloading and installing the gear software driver and see if that helps.
