I just won a X60 auction on eBay, but was confusing about the warranty. Its model is 1709-CTO as you can see it is Configure-To-Order so it is no way for me to know the true configuration. By using serial number, it's still good to 2008-04-08, but the problem is with the parts

I'm confusing because the Hard drive + Ram ... are not serviceable !

So what it warranty good for?

IBM does not service (repair) them. They can only be replaced with newer parts.
