X61s 80gb is heavy ?

#1 Post by neogeo » Wed Oct 17, 2007 8:14 pm

Hi I considering of getting a new X61s and looking at a model with 80Gb HDD ..

but noticed that all the models with 80GB drive are heavier than 120GB model

what is the deal with that ?

here is a little list of some of the models available here in Sweden or EU

I get in general very confused with all these different models

Do they come with the same battery? Hard drive will not make significant difference in weight.

The deal with that is that you appear to be comparing models which are not identical in every respect except for disk size. So there may be other configuration variables that would account for the 30 gram weight difference.

I second Bill B and suggest you refer to Tabook or your local lenovo sales office / business partner for more accurate specifications.

Yes, that should be 8 cell high-capacity battery.

I don't think 3.30 lb is too much of a weight, you also have an option to buy the smaller 4 cell batteries.
