802.11n WiFi

is 802.11n WiFi standard on all X61s models ?

Well, the X61s 7669-7DM model has an Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card, so the answer is no!

Are not N wireless routers backwards compatible so while you won't get the benifit N you would at least notice increased wireless range?

ye I wonder .. and what does it mean if WiFi N is disabled on a X61s

does it mean I can enable it myself ?

No, it can't be enabled. You need to replace the card if you want 802.11n functionality.

There are several threads already on Thinkpads.com that go through this.
