HD replacement question.

I'm in the process of getting a new harddrive for my X60s, and have a question.

Does it matter if the drive is S-ATA150 or S-ATA300? I'm looking at the new Seagate Momentus 5400.4 series, that as far as i can tell only come in the S-ATA300 version. Seagate lists them as using 2watt's on average. It's supposedly being released during the 4th quarter this year.

I don't really need the speed of the 7K200, or 7200.2. More of the battery longlevity camp. I do however need more space than the 45-50gb i currently have access to on my drive.

If you want a non-authoritative answer, I do not think it matters.

No.

one is SATA I and the other SATA II.

All SATA II (or SATA-300 which implement only part of the SATA II spec) drives work at the slower speed as well.
