Disabling the wireless switch?

I'm about to break the wireless switch on my X61t (well, my work's X61t) off.
In normal use, I hit it and turn the wireless off at LEAST once a day.
Any way I can disable it, so that wireless always stays on unless I turn it off via Fn-F5?

there's no way to disable it and i believe that it's hard soldered onto the planar so it can't be removed.
buy yourself some gaffer's tape at your local photography store and tape over the switch. gaffer's tape won't leave a residue and comes in flat black so you won't notice it.

It can be done in linux, if you can find someone who can write specific set of drivers for Windows to control the behavior of the hardware switch regardless of it's state (off=0 or on=1) then I can't imagine why not.
The switch on X-Series is little hidden too so I am little surprised how is it possible and what you're hitting to make it go in an off state. In a working environment (one e.g. a person working on thinkpad on a flat table), I don't see it happening.
Many people asked
"Who needs a switch" when one can turn the wireless on/off via Fn-F5?. Majority
voted in favor of it.

It definitely will if you leave it in place for a while.

That wasn't really meant to be serious - unless you are SERIOUS!
What might not be a bad idea though would be to judiciously put a little dab of clear silicone caulking on the switch. You should be able to remove the caulking later with a toothpick and a matchstick without leaving much of a mark. You would just have to be careful to just use a tiny bit where it could be easily removed later.
