hey.

i am suffering from this ever since i am owning the x61s but i had enough of it, so i decided to search through but didn't find in the archives a similar problem to mine.

when ever i press the FN-F12 or Hibernate through Vista's option or any other way, what i am getting is what seems like the computer is trying to save the system state to HD (looks like it because the HD led works for a while and then computer shuts down after several seconds.

But when I try to turn it on again it boots from the start (even displaying the 'press F11 for recovery' as if the system brute shut down last attempt. seems like Visa couldn't hibernate the X61s so it was shut down or something.

to note, on my other computer a Lenovo 3000 C200 Hibernation works just fine on Visa. when I press the power button after hibernation i get the 'Resuming Windows...' message so it works well. I wonder why it doesn't work on my X61s??

I really need it working because StandyBy and Shutdown are not for my usage patterns.

Thanks guy
