Right partioning

I completely errased Vista on my new X61 and installed XP. After the installation, the system shows the following partitioning:

unpartitioned space 996MB
C: Partition [NTFS] 109690 MB
upartitioned space: 3784 MB

Do I need so much unpartioned space? If not, what is the safest way to moved some of that unpartioned space without losing any data. As you can see from the other thread I tried to play around with Gparted and wasn't too successfull.

the 3784 one looks like your hidden partition, don't mess with it.

How the heck you got 996MB in front of the C drive? (I'm just assuming). From my experience (5 years T40 to T43 to X60 to X60T), download the free 15 days trial of Disk Director from Acronis and use it.

Actually, that 996 MB partition was there even when only Vista was installed.
