Battery reset not working (24% of original power)

I'm the happy user of a X60 but the battery is playing a trick with me.
In the power manager it says:
I've tried to reset the battery but first of all the battery reset never finished and if I stop it I can only increase the charge capacity to 25%.
So do I really have to perform a lot of battery resets to have the capacity to near 100%
In the power manager it says:
Aghhh!Your battery can store 24% of its original full charge capacity. Click the Help button to learn about increasing battery lifespan.
