I have recently downloaded system updates that were recommended for my X61T using the Thinkvantage Update My System program. I have read the instructions for updating the drivers that were needed, but I cannot find WHERE on my computer these updates are being downloaded to!! I am supposed to go to the actual driver, open it, install it, and than after all of that run, go to Run>Setup for these updates. This includes the KeyCustm utility that I was prompted to remove and the Multitouch updated driver. Can someone PLEASE tell me where these would be located or how to find them?
I am NOT using Vista but Window XP for Tablet. I need to know where these would be downloaded to so I can extract them, but there was never a path name specified during the updating process!! FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frustration mounting...a little help please
Yes, as do I. But to get those programs to function, my understanding is that you have to extract them from where they were downloaded to! For instance, I did an update for the Multitouch Drivers, but I cannot find that update anywhere even though it says it was downloaded!
I also no longer see the Keyboard Custom Utility under my programs as the newer version removes the older. I do not know where this has been downloaded to after searching EVERYWHERE for it.

The updates are downloaded to the following path:spasell wrote:... Thinkvantage Update My System program ... I need to know where these would be downloaded ...
[drive:]\Program Files\Lenovo\System Update\session\[update_name]
where [drive:] is your Windows drive letter (e.g., C:) and a [update_name] is the folder created with the same name as the name of the file being downloaded, less the ".exe" extension, into which the expanded files will reside.
