Access Connection only applies proxy settings half the time

#1 Post by elee532 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 10:09 pm

I have version 4.42 of Access Connections installed on my X61 Tablet.

Location A is set to "Override proxy configuration" with a proxy server specified.

Location B is set to "Override proxy configuration" and set to "Do not use Proxy."

I am using IE7 browser.

When I select location A, the proxy server settings are successfully applied. When I select location B, I have to manually go into IE7 and deslect the "use proxy server" options.

Any advice?
Thanks.

I have IE7 and AC 4.42 on XP Pro. I do not use Proxies at all, but AC 4.42. is not causing any issues for me. I don't do what you do, however. So to be clear, I use your Location B settings and do not have a Location A. ... JDH

I cant comment specifically on AC handling of proxies on an X61 (as none of the locations I use my X61 at require proxies), however, I am using AC 4.42 on a T43 running XP Pro SP2 across a variety of business locations, some of which require proxies and some which don't.

I haven't had any problem on the T43 with the appropriate proxy approach being applied by AC as I move between locations.

Cheers,

Bill B.

Thanks for the feedback. Does Lenovo provide any support on this application (my machine is still within warranty period)?

Do I have to call, or is there some way that I can submit a support request via email? I couldn't seem to find a way to do this on their support website.

Thanks.
