Hi,

I just got X61s and havefew questions:

1. Screen brightness is at max after every laptop restart and logon to windows. I must readjust it every time I logon in other words quickest way is to select my defined power scheme because if I'm trying to adjust brightness with Fn+End or Fn+Home I can see that actual brightness is set to what I've left it at previous time but laptop somehow show it at max:( How can I correct this? My X61s is with the lates software taken from lenovo site.

2. As this laptop can show max 1024x786 resolution so another question - is there any software which could enable me to set virtual 1280x1024 resolution and make my desktop scrollable, like I can do in lets say Linux.

Thanks.

Mine acts the same. One every resume or even power plu/unplug it resets the brightness to the value off the power plan. It does not remember the last setting.

I think it is "not a bug but a feature" but it gets kind of annoying as I have the tablet version and in tablet mode it is a bit difficult to adjust the brightness. And, magically, it sometimes shows the setting in the onscreen overlay and sometimes it does not.
