Hard Drive Diagnostics Function in X61 BIOS

In X61 BIOS (v.1.08) There is a hard drive diagnostics function. I has tried it with both original hard disk (Seagate 120GB) that came with X61 and my upgraded hard disk (Hitachi 7K200) and the result are the same. Whenever I tried the diagnostics function, it will show the page and marking to indicate progress. However, the progress seems to stuck at 0% even if I leave it like 10 minutes. The result section always said "Pass: Controller Diag". And when I press ESC, the monitor show that the diagnostic has been aborted by user.

Can anyone tell me how do I use this function? Do I need to install PC Doctor for DOS that is on Support site as well in order to make it work?

I'm currently using XP SP2 with PC Doctor for Windows that came with Vista.

Thank you for all your help.

P.S. Sorry for repeat posting, I forgot to ask this issue on the previous post.

You have to realize the process does not take 10 mins to complete. The bar marked by * sign increases if you give it some more time to finish. Once the process is done, you'll be notified with the results.
