Dang -

If I read that right -

1) 25% off currently on Lenovo website
2) Additional 20% and 4% with ecoupons

49%!! I'll have to look at this.

I don't think it comes out to 49% off but you do get a pretty good discount with the eCoupon and our 4% Cashback

:D

For example,

$2000 - 25% off = $1500

$1500 - 20% off = $1200

$1200 - 4% Cashback = $1152

I think that's ~43% off

These prices are very competitive with resellers, you just might have to wait some time for custom builds.

It's not working for me either. Hopefully they'll get it fixed shortly.

Sadly, not working for me either. I just tried it. The extra 20% is enough to make me think seriously about spending the money on a new notebook.

The sale over the holidays was good too, but I didn't find out about that one until just a few hours before it ended. It'd be nice to have a second-chance at that good pricing.

Hello all,

I just tested the eCoupon on an X61 and it works:

Savings: -$ 546.00
Subtotal: $ 819.00

eCoupon:
Note: The eCoupon code is case sensitive

[USPDECSAVINGS] -$ 204.75
Estimated total: $ 819.00*

If you're cutting and pasting, make sure there is no extra space at the end of the code.

If you're having problems, email me mcheng@ecoupons.com

Mr. Cheng. Thank you so much for checking on the coupon. I'll try it again.

khtse, I am with you. I've got a few days now to think things through. Must talk to wife. Groveling may be necessary  .

I'm kind of at that "edge point" where I'd love to have a new machine, and I could really benefit from one, but I don't absolutely need one. And that's the perfect position to be in, IMHO.

The hard part is deciding whether to go X or T. Five years ago, I went X, and I've been more than happy with the small form factor. This time around though, I'm thinking that I might want the larger screen size of a T series. I keep going back and forth on that point.

Nope. No joy here. I try the coupon code "USPDECSAVINGS", and I get nothing.

I'll email a screenshot.

I have been telling myself to wait for next generation of X (X70?), but this deal seems too good to pass.

Anyone know how to change or cancel the order? I placed an order in a hurry this morning just in case the coupon wouldn't work again. But now I want to change something about it and it seems that I can only "check order status" on Lenovo website. Do I have to call them to make any change or to cancel it? :?:

As long as the order hasn't shipped, I think you can call up and cancel the order and order it again online.

If you modify the order, I'm not sure if you'll get Cashback from us since the order number might change.

The eCoupon doesn't expire until Mon so you still have time to decide.

If I convert it to a quote, wil the coupon still apply? Can I still get the cash back? I need more than a couple days to get all the approvals.

Can you please explain what you mean by converting to a quote.

You can receive Cashback as long as you are a member of eCoupons.com and place the order online per our instructions.

(IMPORTANT: Click on any ThinkPad Lenovo link on eCoupons.com to activate Cashback Savings. You MUST click on a link on eCoupons.com for each order you place.)

1. No XP for X61S.
2. Coupon doesn't work.
3. Should have pulled the trigger last night.

I emailed with Jonathan and he fixed the coupon not working problem by clearing all cookies, browser cache, and authenticated sessions.

Please give it a try and feel free to email me a screenshot.

Proceed to the checkout page and there is a button at the bottom of the page to convert the cart to a quote. Then you have 30 days to make up your mind.

Since the eCoupon has a specific expiration date, I do not think you'll be able to apply after it expires.

Don't despair if you can't order right away, Lenovo has a lot of promotions coming up. The best one was over Thanksgiving/Black Friday with 25% off Tablet. I'm not sure when or if we'll see that kind of discount again but keep an eye out.

Called in the order for X61S with XP. Order taker will hold order until XP is available and he will call me.

07-12-03
Update: Order taker called me. XP is available. Shipping is delayed until 08-01-03 because I added the recordable DVD for the Ultrabase. Coupon still works. Thinkpad number four is on its way.
