Hard Drive squeak or chirp on spinup/spindown

After a great year or so with this X60 with daily use in two ultrabase X6's, I am beginning to hear a short chirp or squeak at the moment of the hard drive (100GB) spinup or spindown (I think). If I had to guess, perhaps the actuator is beginning to make noise on unload or load?

Anyway, any ideas out there? Is this a sign of impending doom? Thanks!
