X61 Tablet Clone

My company buys a lot of X61 Tablets that the IT department needs to setup and install. I would like to speed up this process, by making an image of a completed one, and then restoring that to a new one.

I've tried Acronis Enterprise 8, Norton Ghost 11, and O&O DiskImage Professional 2. None of these seems to work. The tablets don't come with cd drives, so I remote the HDD and place it in an external HDD enclosure. When it boots, nothing happens. After the bios screen, it just stops.

Is there a flashing curser in the upper left corner?

Does EZ GIG work for those SATA machines? If so, you could get a media base, second HDD adapter, a drive with the image on it and an external floppy disc drive. EZ gig runs on the floppy. I have no idea if it works with SATA drives though. It comes with a 10 use license with the PATA 2nd HDD adapter but not with the SATA adapter. I'm not even sure where to buy it, but if there is an updated FULL version available, it would work great.

Edit:

OK I did a bit of research. On the Apricorn Website you can buy a copy of EZ GIG II and a SATA drive enclosure for around $50. Another company sells it with a universal SATA/ PATA enclosure as well.
It comes on a CD so you would need an external CD drive instead of the floppy.
