How good is x61t for reading technical pdfs and taking notes
I am on the edgy of buying a x61t. I am a math graduate student and my major purpose is to read technical documents (mostly in pdf format) and to take notes (and do hand calculations). I guess the xga resolution isn't enough for A4 sized pdf with small letters and technical symbols, but the sxga+ could be sufficient.
Could anybody post pictures of x61t sxga+ showing, say this document: http://arxiv.org/PS_cache/arxiv/pdf/071 ... 4481v1.pdf

I'm a computer scientist, and I'd also like to know how the X61t with the 1400x1050 screen does in displaying two-column IEEE-style scientific papers.
Here's an example: http://www.sigcomm.org/sigcomm2004/pape ... 111111.pdf
Can it be displayed at 100% magnification on the 1400x1050 screen? Is it legible?

I am in the humanities, so not as many funny symbols (though we still have a few) but I find the X61t perfect for reading PDFs and annotating. Bluebeam Revu has a student edition for around $35 and this is great for annotating pdfs with handwritten notes. Also I have tried PDF Annotator, but I found Vista tends to lock up frequently when I'm using it. This is a problem with Bluebeam Revu as well, though it's better (perhaps it's Vista's fault). Since neither of these have any sort of Autosave (this is apparently the norm in pdf world, and a disgrace) I have very frustratingly lost data a number of times because of Vista's instability, you need to watch that.
