Active Protection System installed but not working

Ok, so I clean installed vista ultimate, everything is going perfectly but i cant get active protection to work. Its installed and all but when i go to the active protection program, it doesnt detect movement and everything is blanked out.

I havent installed all lenovo software and i really am avoiding doing so, but i think i've got the important things down like power management driver and lenovo interface driver.

Does anyone know what's happening here?

When you say "its installed and all", do you mean you've installed the given below package by following the installation instructions properly?:

ThinkVantage Active Protection System for Windows Vista 32-bit, XP, 2000 - ThinkPad.

Or was it detected by Windows?
