No such option for X61 Tablet? I can't find it anyway in the BIOS (1.07). I konw such option is available in T4X. something like this:
* Secure: No user or SW-initiated changes; Contents hidden from OS
* Normal: Change allowed; Contents hidden from OS
* Disabled: Not Usable; Visible and Reclaimable

After I tried clean installing Windows XP Tablet, my ThinkVantage button won't work at all during boot up. The problem is I didn't install XP Tablet successfully, now it's blue screen all the time. Is there a way to recovery it instead of using recovery CDs?

Another question is whenever do clean install, the predesktop area will not work, correct?

If you have removed the predesktop area then there will be no using the onboard recovery. The only way to get it back is to restore from cd's. If the predesktop area is still there try this. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-54483
