Company build: XP Pro 2002 SP2 -lost multitouch capability
Company build: XP Pro 2002 SP2 -lost multitouch capability
I have an x60t running Vista but at work that's a no-no. so I got another drive and had them put in their "official" build = XP Pro 2002 SP2.
PC boots up and works like any ole laptop, but I lost of mulitouch, pen capabilities. They scratch their heads. So do I. Is it as simple and getting the right drivers? If yes what are they?
Thanks for your response.
Mike

Windows XP professional does not have any support for tablet features. Windows XP Tablet 2005 does which was never released in retail version, and was only sold as oem to vendors and computer manufacturers.
Windows Vista supports tablets also.

You had multitouch?
*scratches head*
I thought that said feature isn't even "really" out yet, except on the iPhone and iPod touch

So, thinking that released and available means different things. is there a way to get the EOM version if you're not a VAR?ryengineer wrote:taekwonmg wrote:snip......Windows XP Tablet 2005 does which was never released in retail version, and was only sold as oem to vendors and computer manufacturers.

However, if you've a "qualified system" then you can order a downgrade from lenovo in the form of Product Recovery disks: (will cost $45 + applicable taxes and shipping)
Downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP.
Otherwise:
ebay - NEW Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC 2005 W/SP2B (1-Pack).
Newegg - Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC 2005 SP2b English 1pk - OEM. etc...
