where to buy a thinkpad x61 in chicago?

hello!
i'm from germany and staying two weeks in chicago.
i want to buy a thinkpad x61. but lenovo's website doesn't accept international credit cards except american express. paying via paypal doesn't work neither as shipment adress (here in chicago) and resident adress (germany) have to be in the same country. so i'd love to just walk in a store and buy it face to face.

i chose a configuration like this:
processor: core 2 duo 7300 (2ghz, 2mb l2, 800 mhz fsb, not the NV version)
memory: 2gb pc2-5300 ddr2 sdram 667 mhz sodimm (2 dimms)
hard disk: 100 gb 7200rpm sata
wireless: 4965 agn
battery: 8 cell high capacity

lenovo's price including tax and shipping would be $ 1405.
do you know any shops where i can buy or order a thinkpad like this as lenovo's "where to buy" didn't help me at all - i only found adresses for support or repair... btw: my mobility is limited to public transportation.

thanks, danke und auf wiedersehen!

...and happy christmas!

Try this link:

http://bplocator.lenovo.com/et.cfm?eid=934

Just hit the "search" button in the lower RH corner.

i tried that before ("where to buy") but it didn't really help me. (i walked across chicago and found myself in front of apartment-buildings, where there should be a lenovo premium partner in apartment no 1390...). i mean, it's not that simple as walking in the apple store on michigan ave.

CDW is the largest computer retailer in the area that carries thinkpads.   you might want to check with them.

be forewarned, our local sales tax is quite high -- 9.0% in the city and 7.5~8.75% out in the suburbs.

This still compares quite favourably with 19% in Germany...

If you're still in Chicago, try the Micro Center store there.
