Screen resolution change after sleep

#1 Post by novasource » Sat Jan 05, 2008 10:52 pm

My X60 Tablet (6363-2BU) is normally in 1440x1050 mode. However, when I wake from sleep, about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time it will go to 1024x768 (or 800x600?) for several seconds before spontaneously switching back to 1440x1050. It's just like what happens if you do that useless Fn-Space zoom feature.

Has this been resolved?

I searched and found several posts that talked about this but no apparent solution.

are you using Vista? If so then try to turn off TMM (Transient Multi-Monitor) thingy unless you use multiple displays. I turned it off on my T60 and it hasn't done it for a while now but it didn't do it everytime also.
Current - Thinkpad T410si - Core i3 330m, 4GB, 250GB 5400RPM, WXGA+, FPR, BT, Camera, DVDRW, Gobi2000, Win7 Pro x32
Past - Thinkpad T410 - T400 - T61 - T60 - T43 - T42 - T41 - T40 - T23 - 600X

Thanks. I occasionally do multiple monitor, so I'll live with it if this is what's causing the problem.

well test it out anyways... it's a service that runs in the background. You can still use multiple monitors but it's not as easy as before i something. Google.... here got it for ya:

just test it out and see if that's what's causing it.

OK. I'll report back in a few days.

That appears to have fixed it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Not sure if there is any relation, but I no longer have the problem where the monitor fails to turn on when I resume from sleep.
