Docking Monitor vs. Native Monitor x60t

#1 Post by ribbonfish » Tue Jan 08, 2008 5:29 am

My wish is dead simple:

1. When I dock, I want the Dell 1600*1050 desktop display to light up (it is already powered on)
2. When I undock, I want the 1400*1050 on my laptop to light up

Just can't get it. Now I have to run the Intel graphics controller again and again every time I dock/undock. It doesn't feel straight.

Any bors can offer me some advice? Thanks!

Why don't you use Presentation Director?:

Presentation Director for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 - Notebooks.

You can also read more about extending screens on lenovo blogs:

Extending Screens.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

i couldn't figure out how to do this so i used hotkeys. don't know if the intel driver does this, but i set up hotkeys for docked and undocked profile in the ATI driver for mine. ctrl-shift-1 and ctrl-shift-2, it's easy enough. also used the ATI driver because Presentation Director doesn't apply color profiles.
