X60 Hardware problem

My IBM/Lnovo X60 Note book's monitor shows a very dimmed windows, picture, etc. The Monitor and the Invertor were separately tested. They are quite OK and function well.
What is the cause of the problem? Any help is highly appreciated

How do you test them?

If you are sure they are ok the problem must be the motherboard.
X32/2.0GHZ/2GB/ENGENIUS EMP-8602+S 600mw mini pci/WD 250GB
X60/1.83GHZ/2GB/Atheros/7K100
