Questions about the X60T
Questions about the X60T
Hi everyone! My first post here. I have a few questions about the X60T..
I was wondering if the extended battery on the back of an X60T is removable? I'm planning to buy this ultraportable and would like to know if you can actually take that from the back and save some depth. What is the actual size of the X60T without everything in the back?
I was wondering what is the difference between the XGA and SXGA+ versions of the X60T in terms of the touchscreen function?

1. Yes.
2. According to tabook:
3. Only XGA comes with MultiTouch (touchscreen via finger and pen), XGA also come without Mulltitouch but with digitizer pen ability (meaning you can write on screen with the pen only), SXGA+ only comes with digitizer pen ability.
2. According to tabook:
Weight & dimensions of 4-cell battery are:Dimensions:
with
4-cell: 10.8" x 9.6" x 1.1-1.3"; 274mm x 244mm x 27.4-33.1mm
8-cell: 10.8" x 10.5" x 1.1-1.3"; 274mm x 267mm x 27.4-33.1mm
Weight:
with
4-cell battery models: 3.7 to 4.1 lb (1.7 to 1.9kg);
8-cell battery models: 4.2 to 4.6lb (1.9 to 2.1kg)
Weight & dimensions of 8-cell battery are:Depth 3.60 in
Height 0.92 in
Weight 0.53 lbs
Width 10.74 in
I leave the subtraction to you.Depth 4.54 in
Height 0.93 in
Weight 1.03 lbs
Width 10.73 in

The battery is removable but there won't be any source of power unless you attach AC adapter or another type of battery.Matta087 wrote:So basically, if you detach the battery, then there would be no power at all. Or are the 4 and 8 cell batteries optional? How long would it last without the battery (If ever the answer is YES to the first question)?....snip
