I noticed that on the X61 series, the tri-color IBM logo was replaced by the plain Thinkpad in white color logo. When did this revision actually start? Do the X60 series notebooks/tablets have this as well or is it just the X61 series?

I believe it was right after the 60 series. The T61/X61 all have the thinkpad logo. Prior to those models were the IBM logo.

My X61s has the IBM Logo - another friend has the same laptop with the same logo.

The Thinkpad logo is more recent (past 2 months, if memory serves)

It doesn't really matter which sticker they use, though. It's still an IBM design.

My X61 Tablet comes with the Thinkpad logo. At first I wanted the IBM logo. I even thought about buying replacement IBM logos on Ebay to replace the stock logos. But right now it doesn't matter. I just have to accept it's not IBM any more.
