Hi,

i bought an used x60s from an auction platform. I just want to have a few comments if I there is anything particular to pay attention for with this model, when I pick it up.

What i plan to check:
- no bios/hardisk/ finger print reader passwords installed
- does the s/n in the bios fit the one on the housing
- general cracks etc.

I got it for +/- 55% of the local new prices for an x61s with similar specs, and it still has 18 month waranty...

thanks for any comment

cheers

call up lenovo to check whether the laptop has been marked as stolen. If it is, then the next time you send it in for warranty, they'll keep it and return it to the original owner, so it's really IMPORTANT to look out for this. Other than that, the things you plan to check for are good. Congrats on getting one of the thinnest and lightest Thinkpad ever :)

Though obviously obvious, but still - check that the recovery partition is intact and working, if you ever plan to use it.
