hotfix for slow transfers of large files from network

Gurus,

What is the status with Vista's slow copying issue to network devices? Microsoft had issued some hotfix under http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931770/en-us and I was hopying (crazy thought) that my laptop vendor would deal with this through its fantastic ThinkVantage System Update :-)

I am currenly waiting 9h for the transfer of 190Mb of music files from a NAS to my X61s... ah no... wait... it just went up to 10h and 26 minutes. Awsome!

Install the public Vista SP1 public RC or wait for the final SP1 release coming in the next month or two. It fixes your problem.
