It's been over two years since I bought my last ThinkPad. Back then IBM gave you 30 day return with full refund. Does Lenovo offer that too? I am thinking about ordering X61s soon.

No.
However you can go to your local BestBuy (For Business), CircuitCity or Office Depot to see and feel one in hands, this is something you couldn't do during IBM days.

Lenovo has a very poor return policy in comparison to other companies like Dell and HP. Their return policy is 21 days but you will be imposed with a 15% restocking fee on the return regardless for your reason unless they decide to wave it for some reason like they did for me. I was pretty unhappy with my x61s because it seemed to be getting too hot for my liking with a 160GB 7200rpm drive in it. I sometimes use my system for a few hours at a time and it just made it uncomfortable with the palm rests getting on the hot side. I had to jump through a few hoops but i got a call from customer relations and they decided to offer me the refund since i was displeased. Their return policy makes me wary to order a thinkpad again unless they have something i know for sure i won't be returning. At least with brands like Dell, Sony, and HP I can make an actual decision to keep the laptop and if i really dislike it i can send it back for a full refund no questions asked. Dell especially will sometimes even give you a further cut in price just to make you happy about the purchase.
