2x3 ultra connect antenna?

#1 Post by Justintoxicated » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:03 pm

I was expecting an antenna on the side of my screen, is that only an option if you get the mobile broadband?

? My Laptop says it has Ultra Connect II but it does not have an external antenna so I don't understand what you mean.

Built into the screen, meaning I should not have a pull out antenna?

Or I should have an external antenna and they did not give me one.

If you look closely around your LCD you may find sections with ridges that may be about an inch or so long. These are the WIFI and if you have Bluetooth antenna's. If you have WWAN the antenna would be a bulge on one side that is maybe three inches long and maybe 1/4" inch deep.

This WWAN antenna is what I have seen in the X60 and T60 series. X61 and T61 WWAN antennas may be different as I thought I saw somewhere that they were built in and as I understood it would not bulge outside of the LCD this way.
