Vista x64 - no "max power savings" for wifi?

#1 Post by Jackboot » Mon Feb 04, 2008 1:18 pm

I have been using Vista Home Premium x86 and the Lenovo power manager. One of the settings under the power manager is "max power savings" for wifi.

I just installed Home Premium x64 and there is no longer a wifi option when creating a custom power plan.

Can anyone else confirm the same behaviour? Why would the wifi power savings option no longer be there when using 64-bit vista?

If it matters, I am using an X61s with Intel 3945abg and the latest wifi drivers from Lenovo.

EDIT:
The power savings options for wifi are there under control panel->hardware & sound->power options. But they are not there in Lenovo's Power Manager utility. I guess it is just a bug - but it's nice to know that the option can still be set using vista itself.

BTW, the wifi power saving option decreases the right-hand palmrest heat significantly.
