Touch screen sensitivity along edge

When using my X61 in tablet mode, I find that the edge of the screen along the bottom (nearest the keyboard) is insensitive to pen pressure. In particular, it won't let me scroll up or down on the scroll bar.

If I reduce the size of the window to move the scroll bar away from the edge of the screen, it works fine.

I have recalibrated the screen, and no change.

Is this common?

Thanks,
Leo

I also notice a similar issue regarding the sensitivity around the edges of the screen.
I've come just to ignore it, for me its not that bad. Just right up close near the edge I guess.

I kind of have this problem too. I find it particularly hard to write along the left edge. In general, the edges are not precise.

Have you tried to calibrate the screen in both the portrait and landscape mode?

For me, the finger screen touch doesn't even work on the edges of the screen. The pen works OK, but with finger you basically can't use the edge much at all.

This is with latest updates to Thinkpad software - latest BIOS, etc. I'm on windows Vista had the problem with RTM plus now on SP1 (no better).

Have a similar problem with a X41T, but only along the middle part of the edge. Plan to take it for maintenance later.

No problem on another X61T.
