Is there a difference in LCD brigtness between X60s and X61?

Hey guys, has anyone compared the LCD brightness between a X60s and a X61?

My X61's LCD is noticeably brighter than my brother's X60s with both at full brightness. That is not to say the X60s is unusable, but the difference is enough to wonder if Lenovo changed the LCD in the X61 lineup. Neither laptop has the Ultralight LCD option installed. I doubt that the backlight is showing its age; his machine is still very new and doesn't have many hours logged.

I think his screen might be defective and thought I might ask here for a second opinion. The X60s does have an existing warranty and it would be nice to make use of it if a problem exists.

This is likely due to the difference in lcd manufacturer, although industry standards are set for these things but the display luminous varies from vendor to vendor.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
