Boot from SD drive?

#1 Post by OnlyThinkpad » Wed Feb 13, 2008 10:20 am

Has anyone be able to boot from installing an OS on the SD drive on a x60s? I am considering giving Linux a try but prefer to boot from a medium other than CD or install it on the HD.

Thanks

I don't know if you've solved your problem already, but you definitely would be able to install and boot Linux from a USB flash drive (or USB HD for that matter). Look here:

The SD drive option would be nice too, although I don't have any idea about that...

As far as I'm concerned the SD card reader is not bootable.
