I discovered a little glitch when doing a test on my machine. I used a matched pair of Crucial 2x2GB pc5300 and a matched set of oem Lenovo 2x1GB ram on a X61 T, type 7767, intel 965 X3100.

On XP Tablet, installing 2GB, whether 2x1GB or a single 2GB stick of ram works fine. Passes PC doctor too.

Installing 3GB, whether 2GB is the primary "0" slot ram or the 1GB is the "0" slot ram, gives a BSOD, with error igxprd32, driver has entered an infinite loop (which is the intel driver for x3100). Problem can be triggered manually by running PC doctor test for the GPU.

Installing 4GB gives the same error. And these are the latest drivers from lenovo 6.14.10.4860.

Manually updating to the Intel drivers, which are just a version above this (something like .4900), appears to work fine, and passes PC doctor GPU test with low framerates (around 2.5fps) but after a while, the same bluescreen, no error code, but the event log reports ialm, and the message is an infinite driver loop.

Running Vista, no error seem to be reported. At least no BSOD doing the same tasks. PC Doctor test also has the low frame rate.

Anyways, this is just a little note on what I saw.
