Why bother with a X61?

Hello all,

I notice there are definitely more people with X61s' than X61. I know the X61s runs cooler, quieter, long battery life, better/brighter screen (UL option), with a LV C2D that apparently has very little performance difference from a NV C2D. Wondering how many people out there have the X61? Are you happy with it? Is there even a market for a X61 running with a normal voltage processor?

Thanks.

Yes, the T7xxx will outsell the L7xxxx series, there is a market.

I don't.

That depends a great deal on who is assessing the performance!

Users choose what makes best sense for their particular purposes.

I run math and engineering applications, in addition to the usual web browsing and office work. I am very happy with my X61. It is a very well-balanced package.

While either X61 or X61s would work, I preferred more number-crunching power and lower price. So I gave up on the ultralight screen. I wish I could have it all, of course.

i would choose X61s, or wait for Macbook Air.
