IBM Recovery Partition and re-installation?

#1 Post by syntelman » Wed Feb 20, 2008 4:19 am

Hi!
I feel that I would like to reformat and start fresh.
As I do not have access to an external HDD or CD/DVD the IBM Recovery Partition seems like a viable option. However, since I got my x60s I have repartitioned the harddrive and created an linux partition which I want to keep. Will the IBM Recovery completely repartition/reformat all of the harddrive and erase my linux partition? Or will it just touch the default Windows partition?

Thanks in advance!

To the best of my recollection your Linux partition will be gone once you start recovery by means of the recovery partition.

Guess I'll have to get hold of an external DVD then.
