The delay in starting up for "initialization" after an "Unexpected Shutdown" is fairly new - I don't remember seeing this in my Thinkpads before the X61.
They are still BIOS machines. Still running Windows. So what's changed? Anyone know what the machine is actually doing during this sequence, which takes around 5-6 seconds or so?
